In this tutorial you will run the Jetonomy setup wizard, which takes a new install to a working community. You need the free Jetonomy plugin, and an administrator account. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Open the wizard. Set the community address. Choose a default type. Create your first space. Then finish. Step one. Open the wizard. It opens by itself the first time you activate Jetonomy, as a page called Jetonomy Setup. It has three screens, shown across the top: Basics, First Space, and Done. Step two. Set the community address. Community URL Slug is the word that follows your site address. It starts as community. Type another word, such as forum, and the address under the field changes as you type. Every community page will sit under this address. You can change it later in Settings. Step three. Choose a default type. There are four: Forum, Q and A, Ideas, and Feed. Click the one most of your spaces will be. Here, Q and A, for questions with an accepted answer. Your first space gets this type, and it is selected for you when you add a space later. You can still create spaces of every type. Then click Next: First Space. Nothing has been saved yet. Step four. Create your first space. The second screen asks for a Category Name. Categories group related spaces together. Then give the space a name, and a short description. Click Create Space. The wizard stores your address and type, and makes a public space that anyone can join. Or click Import the demo community instead, to try Jetonomy with ready made categories, spaces and posts. Step five. Finish. After either button, the last screen tells you your community is ready. Visit Community opens the community your members will see. Go to Dashboard takes you to the Jetonomy admin. Under them is a short list of next steps, such as creating more spaces and inviting members. That is all five. The wizard opened, the community address set, a default type chosen, the first space created, and the finish screen. Your community now has an address and its first space. Next in this series: Add a login form to a page.
