Do I own my community data?
Yes, completely. Jetonomy runs on your own WordPress install - posts, members, and engagement live in dedicated tables in your database, on your server, under your domain. There's no platform vendor who can raise prices, change the rules, or take your community with them if they pivot.
Does it require BuddyPress?
No. Jetonomy is standalone and works with any theme. If you're already running a BuddyPress community, there's an integration for that - but you don't need BuddyPress to get started.
Can I migrate from bbPress or wpForo?
Yes. There are one-click importers for bbPress, wpForo, and Asgaros. Topics, replies, users, attachments, and basic metadata all move over. Old URLs can be redirected so you don't lose any SEO you've built up.
