In this tutorial you will find the pictures your members upload in Jetonomy, and see how they are kept apart from your own media. You need the free Jetonomy plugin, and an administrator account. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Open Community Media. Read a card. Filter by space or member. Check your Media Library. Then know what is cleaned up. Step one. Open Community Media. In your WordPress admin, open Jetonomy, then Community Media, at the bottom of the menu. This screen shows the pictures members uploaded while writing topics and replies. Here there are six uploads, newest first. Step two. Read a card. Each card shows the picture, its title, the member who uploaded it, the space, and the date. View, edit opens the picture in the normal WordPress attachment screen. That is where you can delete it for good. This screen itself has no delete button. Deleting a picture does not remove the topic or reply it was posted in. Step three. Filter by space or member. Open the list that says All spaces, and choose one space. Click Filter, and only the uploads from that space remain. Here, the two from Show and Tell. The first box finds one member. It needs their exact username, or their email address. The last list switches between Newest first and Oldest first. Step four. Check your Media Library. Open Media, then Library, in the WordPress menu. Member uploads are left out of it, so your own logos and page images are not buried. The list in the toolbar starts on Hide community uploads. Switch it to Show community uploads when you want to see everything together. Now the member pictures appear among your own. Hiding them here never hides them on your site. Members still see every picture in its topic. Step five. Know what is cleaned up. A member can attach a picture and then never post. That file would stay on your server for nothing. So once a day, Jetonomy removes pictures it uploaded that are more than a day old and are used in no topic, no reply, no avatar and no space cover or icon. There is nothing to switch on. That is all five. Community Media opened, a card read, the list filtered, your Media Library checked, and the clean-up understood. Your members can share pictures, and your own media stays easy to find. Next in this series: Tidy up your tags.
