In this tutorial you will manage topics and replies from the WordPress admin in Jetonomy. You need the free Jetonomy plugin, and an administrator account. It takes about three minutes. There are six steps. Open Content. Find a topic. Edit it in place. Trash it or mark it as spam. Act on several at once. Then open its replies. Step one. Open Content. In your WordPress admin, open Jetonomy, then Content. The screen is titled Topics and Replies. Every topic in the community is listed, with its space, its author, its status, and how many replies and views it has. Step two. Find a topic. The first list shows one space only. The second list is the status. All shows everything except the trash. The others are Published, Pending, Spam, Trash and Scheduled. Or type part of a title in the search box, and click Filter. One topic matches. Clear brings the full list back. Step three. Edit it in place. Point at the topic, and click Edit under its title. The title and the text open inside the row. The text is shown with its formatting tags. Change what you need, then click Save. Cancel closes it and changes nothing. One caution. An edit made here is not kept under Revisions, so there will be no copy of the old text. Step four. Trash it or mark it as spam. Trash hides the topic from your community, and keeps it. Spam hides it too. Either one takes reputation points from its author. Each one asks you to confirm. To see trashed topics, choose Trash in the status list. Each one has Restore, and Delete Permanently, which also removes its replies and cannot be undone. Pending and Spam work the same way. A topic held for review has Approve, and one marked as spam has Not Spam. Step five. Act on several at once. Tick the box beside each topic you want. Then open Bulk Actions and choose Approve, Move to Trash, or Mark as Spam. Click Apply, and confirm. The action runs on every ticked topic. Step six. Open its replies. The number in the Replies column is a link. Click it. You now see only the replies to that topic, with the same tools: a status list, a search box, Edit, Trash and Spam on each reply, and Bulk Actions. All Topics, above the title, takes you back to the topics. That is all six. Content opened, a topic found, edited in place, trashed or marked as spam, several handled at once, and its replies opened. Every topic and reply is now within reach from your admin. Next in this series: Keep member uploads apart from your media.
