In this tutorial you will keep up with your notifications in a Jetonomy community, as a member. You need a member account on a site that runs the free Jetonomy plugin. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Open your notifications. Open the Notifications page. Filter by kind. Mark as read or delete. Then find your notification settings. Step one. Open your notifications. In the community sidebar, the panel with your name has a Notifications link. The number beside it is how many you have not read. Here, two. On this site, BuddyNext runs alongside Jetonomy, so your forum notifications also reach the bell at the top of the site. Click Notifications in the panel, and the full list opens. Step two. Open the Notifications page. It lists every notification you have received, newest first. The ones you have not read are tinted, with a dot at the right. Click one to open the topic it is about, and it is marked as read. Step three. Filter by kind. The tabs above the list are All, Unread, Replies, Mentions and Votes, each with a count. A Badges tab is added when the site runs Jetonomy Pro. Click Votes, and only the votes on your topics are listed. Step four. Mark as read or delete. Tick the box beside one or more notifications. A bar appears with Select all on page, Mark read, and Delete. Mark all as read, beside the title, clears every unread notification in one go. Deleting only empties your own list. The topic and the reply stay. Step five. Find your notification settings. Click Settings, beside the title. On this site, BuddyNext runs alongside Jetonomy, so Settings opens the BuddyNext notification settings. The Forums group lists the kinds of Jetonomy notification, each with an In-app switch. These switches decide what BuddyNext shows in its bell, at the top of the site, which is where forum notifications arrive here. On a site with Jetonomy alone, Settings opens your Edit Profile page instead. There, each kind has a Web switch, which controls the Jetonomy bell, and an Email switch. That is all five. Your notifications found, the Notifications page opened, the list filtered, notifications marked as read or deleted, and your settings found. You will not miss a reply again.
