Transcript

In this tutorial you will format a post in Jetonomy, and mention another member in it. You need a member account on a site that runs the free Jetonomy plugin. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Find the editor. Format your text. Mention a member. Add a picture or an emoji. Then post it. Step one. Find the editor. Open a topic and scroll to Your Reply, under the last reply. The same editor is used when you start a new topic. Its toolbar runs along the top of the box. Step two. Format your text. Type as usual. For bold, click the B button, then type the words you want to stand out. The other buttons are italic, code, code block, link and quote. Typed symbols such as asterisks are not turned into formatting. The note under the box says so: use the toolbar to format. Step three. Mention a member. Type the at sign and the first letters of their name. A list of matching members opens. Click the person, or press Enter. Their handle goes into your text, and they get a notification when you post. Step four. Add a picture. Click the image button and choose a file. You can also drag a picture into the box, or paste one. The last button opens the emoji list. Step five. Post it. Read your reply through once. Nothing is sent, and nobody is notified, until you post. When it reads well, click Post Reply, or press Control and Enter. That is all five. The editor found, text formatted, a member mentioned, a picture or emoji added, and the reply ready to post. Your posts are now clear, and reach the people they are for. Next in this series: Run the setup wizard.
