Transcript

In this tutorial you will use the Integrations settings of Jetonomy. You need Jetonomy, which is free, and an administrator account. The last two steps need Jetonomy Pro. It takes about three minutes. There are four steps. Open Integrations. Read a companion card. Check your membership plugins. Then make spaces for new courses. Step one. Open Integrations. In your WordPress admin, open Jetonomy, then Settings, and click Integrations in the settings menu. The tab opens on a heading, Part of the Wbcom family. Under it are six cards, one for each plugin that Jetonomy can work beside. Step two. Read a companion card. Each card names the plugin, says what it is for, and in green, what it adds to your forum. This one is WB Gamification, for points and badges. The badge in the corner is its state. Connected means the plugin is active, and Jetonomy has found it. There is nothing more to do. All six are connected on this site. A plugin you do not have yet would show a button on its card instead, to install the free version or to activate it. Learn more opens the plugin page in the store. Step three. Check your membership plugins. With Jetonomy Pro, a box called Membership Integrations follows the cards. Pro loads its link to a membership or course plugin on its own, when that plugin is active. The table shows what was found. Learnomy is Active here. Plugins that are not on the site, such as the WooCommerce membership add-ons, LearnDash and Tutor LMS, read Not detected. An active one can then be used to decide who gets into a space. Step four. Make spaces for new courses. While a course plugin is active, Pro adds one more box, Auto-Create Spaces for Courses. Tick the box for your course plugin, here Learnomy LMS. From then on, each newly published course gets its own discussion space. The space is private, with an access rule that lets in the people who hold the course. Default Space Type sets whether those spaces are Q and A, Forum or Feed. Free-course spaces can make the spaces of free courses public. Then click Save Settings. That is all four. Integrations opened, a companion card read, your membership plugins checked, and spaces set up for new courses. You can now see at a glance what your forum is connected to. Next in this series: Use Jetonomy with BuddyNext.
