In this tutorial you will read the activity log in Jetonomy, the record of who did what in your community. You need the free Jetonomy plugin, and an administrator account. It takes about three minutes. There are six steps. Open the Activity Log. Read an entry. Filter by type and date. See what one member did. Export the log. Then set how long entries are kept. Step one. Open the Activity Log. In your WordPress admin, open Jetonomy, then Activity Log. Jetonomy records new topics and replies, votes, changes to trust level and reputation, moderation actions, members joining a space, and idea status changes. The log is read only. The line under the title says how long entries are kept. Step two. Read an entry. Each row is one event. Actor is the member who did it, and Date is how long ago. Type says what happened, such as Joined the space, or Gained fifteen reputation points. Object is the topic, space or member it happened to, by name. Details adds the rest, such as why the points were given. Here, an accepted answer. Step three. Filter by type and date. The bar above the table narrows the log. Open the list that says All types. It holds every type of event found in your log so far. Choose one, here Joined the space. The two date boxes limit the log to a period, from one day to another. Then click Filter. Now the table shows only members joining a space, since the first of the month. Clear puts the full log back. Step four. See what one member did. Click a name in the Actor column. The log now shows only that member, and their user ID sits in the first box of the filter bar. You can also type an ID there yourself. Step five. Export the log. Export CSV, beside the title, downloads the log as a spreadsheet file. It follows your filters. Filter first, and the file holds only those rows, up to fifty thousand of them. Step six. Set how long entries are kept. Open Jetonomy, then Settings. On the General tab, scroll to the Activity Log card. Keep entries for starts at ninety days. Once a day, Jetonomy removes entries older than that. Type a bigger number to keep more history, up to three thousand six hundred and fifty days. Then click Save Settings at the bottom of the tab. That is all six. The Activity Log opened, an entry read, the log filtered, one member followed, the export found, and the retention set. You can now look back at what happened in your community. Next in this series: Compare the edits to a topic.
