Transcript

In this tutorial you will find topics by tag in a Jetonomy community, and tag a post of your own. You need a site that runs the free Jetonomy plugin, and a member account to post. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Spot the tags. Open a tag page. Sort by Latest or Popular. Start a post with the tag. Then tag your own post. Step one. Spot the tags. In the community sidebar, Popular Tags lists the tags used most, each with the number of topics that carry it. A tag is a link. Click one, here migration. Step two. Open a tag page. The page is named after the tag, and counts the topics you can read. Here, thirty three. The topics come from every space you can see, not from one. Each shows its own tags under the title, so you can hop to a related one. Step three. Sort by Latest or Popular. The page opens on Latest, with the newest topic first. Click Popular, and the topics with the highest vote score move to the top. Step four. Start a post with the tag. When you are signed in, the tag page has a button: Start a discussion tagged migration. Click it. Jetonomy opens the new post form of the space that the first topic listed here is in. Here that is Release Notes, a feed space, so the form is titled New Status. The tag is already in the Tags field. Step five. Tag your own post. The new post form of every space has this Tags field, whether it starts a topic, a question or a status. It is optional. Type your tags with a comma between them. Use a tag that already exists when one fits, so your post lands on the same tag page as the others. A name that is not a tag yet becomes one when you post. That is all five. The tags spotted, a tag page opened and sorted, a post started from the tag, and your own post tagged. One click on a tag now shows you everything your community has said about it.
