How to pin an announcement to every space in Jetonomy, step by step: turn on the Site Announcements extension of Jetonomy Pro, pin a topic to the community, see it at the top of every space, and unpin it.

In this tutorial you will pin an announcement to every space in Jetonomy. You need Jetonomy Pro, with its Site Announcements extension turned on, and an administrator account. It takes about two minutes. There are four steps. Turn on Site Announcements. Pin a topic to the community. See it in every space. Then unpin it. Step one. Turn on Site Announcements. In your WordPress admin, open Jetonomy, then Extensions, and click Moderation to narrow the list. Find the card called Site Announcements and turn its switch on. It is on already here, so this tutorial does not click it. There are no settings to fill in. Step two. Pin a topic to the community. On the site, open the topic everyone should see. Under its first post, administrators get a button, Pin to community. Click it. Here that is done already, so the button reads Unpin from community, and the topic carries a badge, Announcement. Moderators of a space do not get this button. It is for administrators. Step three. See it in every space. Now look as a member. This is Show and Tell, a different space. The announcement is the first row of the list, with its badge. It sits above the topic this space has pinned for itself. A space pin stays in its own space. An announcement goes to all of them. Open any other space, such as General Discussion, and the same announcement leads the first page there too. Members only get it if they are allowed to read the space it was posted in. Step four. Unpin it. You can have five announcements at a time. A sixth is refused until you unpin one, which keeps the top of every space short. When the news is old, open the topic again and click Unpin from community. The topic goes back to its normal place in every space. It is not deleted, and a pin inside its own space is left alone.
