Transcript

In this tutorial you will confirm or cancel an action in Jetonomy. You need Jetonomy, which is free, and a member account. One step uses a moderator or administrator account. It takes about two minutes. There are three steps. Answer a question box. Confirm a risky action. Then back out with the keyboard. Step one. Answer a question box. Some actions need a word from you first. Under a topic, the flag is Report. Click it. A box opens over the page and asks why you are reporting this topic. Pick a reason, such as Spam. Add details if you like. Report would send it to the moderators. Cancel closes the box and sends nothing, whatever you typed. This tutorial clicks Cancel. Step two. Confirm a risky action. Moderators and administrators have a menu on each topic, behind the three dots. Open it. Delete is in red. Click Delete and nothing is deleted yet. A box asks, Are you sure you want to delete this topic? The Confirm button is red, because this cannot be undone from here. Only Confirm goes ahead. Cancel leaves the topic exactly as it was. This tutorial clicks Cancel. Step three. Back out with the keyboard. Every one of these boxes works without a mouse. Here is the delete box again. The Tab key moves between Cancel and Confirm and stays inside the box. The Escape key closes it, the same as Cancel. Escape is pressed now, and the topic is still here. That is all three. A question box answered, a risky action stopped at its warning, and a box closed from the keyboard. You now know what every Jetonomy box is asking, and how to say no. Next in this series: Move around without page reloads.
